The interesting thing is the HSUS changed their name to be "Humane Society" once local shelters started using that more in order to appear as an umbrella group even though they're not. PETA's sole job is to make them look reasonable. The director of…
I wouldn't give to HSUS personally, since half of 1% (that's 1 of every $200) that's donated to them goes to actually helping local shelters. If you really want your money to count, give to your local humane society, which they are not affiliated wi…
So sorry to be negative, but I feel the need to voice my opinion on a certain "Animal Rights Group." PETA will say, show you or mail you anything that says anything to get your "donations." The adds that were on the Superbowl with near-naked women (…
Hi everyone, I definitely need to socialize my Poms (both 7 lbs), especially the female (inset picture) who is very friendly with people but shys away from other dogs, loud noises, etc. The male was a show dog, so he handles most anything. We are no…
My male Pom is an orange AKC purebred whom I used to show. He has the beautiful show coat and would have gone far but he hated it, so we stopped. My other Pom is another orange but she is flat-coated (smooth) and is not AKC. She came from Texas and I am afraid that I may have dealt unknowingly with a Puppy Mill, but I would not give little Kylie back for the world. The are very different personalities, Cody, the male, is an Alpha and barks at everything and is very protective of me. Gee thanks, 7 lbs of protection (mostly fur). The female, Kylie is sweet, loves people and hardly ever barks. I have been home from work, ill a lot in the past year, and if it weren't for my puppies (well really, they are 5 years (male) and 3 1/2 years (female), I don't know what I would do!!!! I would like to socialize them and haven't found any dogparks around the area here. Thought I might start with you all. Thanks
